Life is Suppose to Be Fun!

Life is supposed to be fun! But we are inundated by negative news, media and sometimes people close to us. Let me ask you this: Do you feel guilty if you are having “too good of a time”? Most people I ask that question answer immediately, “Yes”! I’m going to talk about how I alleviate that guilt and how it might help you enjoy your life without the guilt.

Key points to keep in mind:

*Beliefs are just thinking the same thought over and over

*A lot of beliefs have never been proven

* We have the power to change our thoughts in an instant

The first thing is having the awareness of anything not working or a problematic in your life. The thing is to know when something doesn’t feel right. If you are hanging out with people who don’t have your best interests at heart, you feel cheated after you leave that encounter. That’s the feeling which tells you to not see that friend (or family member) as much in the future.

How to become more aware of your ‘feelings’ (which equates to your instincts)? Meditation or being quiet for 15 minutes or more per day helps a lot. When I wake up in the middle of the night, I plan my next day, process things that happened during the previous day and then enjoy the peace and comfort of my bed.

I relax . . .

Than I pick out the things in life I want to experience and feel how it might feel actually doing it, i.e. driving my dream car, vacationing in Bora Bora, Fiji or Thailand, living in the house of my dreams, volunteering for causes I believe in, etc. That is positive actualization. And they usually come true.

I relish in gratitude . . . for what I have and what I will have in the future

We are not here on this earth for very long, maybe 70 – 100 years. Enjoy every minute of it. Enjoy the wonderful times and even the not so wonderful times. The honing process of life’s experiences can bring you a deep sense of joy.

Feel that joy.

The more you feel the joy, the more joy will brought to you. The same thing happens with negative emotions. The most wonderful thing is about our human experience is that we get to choose our thoughts each second.

When people around us, or the media is pelting with nothing but negative content, walk away or change the channel. It’s that simple.

You are here to have fun and have deep joy in your life. At every moment you chose your experience.

Many blessings . . .
